Overview

LGBT Great is delighted to invite you to our International Non-Binary People's Day conversation. This engaging online event will not only mark the importance of International People's Day globally, but also provide you with an insight into non-binary identities and how financial service organisations can develop their corporate inclusion of non-binary people.

What is International Non-Binary People's Day?

  • International Non-Binary People's Day is observed each year on 14 July and aims at raising awareness and organising around the issues faced by non-binary people around the world.
  • This date shines a light on non-binary people and celebrates the community's rich and vast diversity.
  • The day was first celebrated in 2012. The date was chosen for being precisely between International Men's Day and International Women's Day.

How is LGBT Great marking this important day?

  • LGBT Great is leading the conversation across our membership community to encourage more transgender and non-binary confident conversations.
  • We will also be sharing useful learning and role modelling some of our wonderful transgender and non-binary Project 1000 Role Models and Allies.
  • You can also join this conversation to learn more about our Turning The Corner Report.

  • Charlotte Phillips-Lynn (Senior Operations Analyst at Seccl)

    Charlotte Phillips-Lynn

    Senior Operations Analyst at Seccl

Charlotte is a senior operations analyst at Seccl, specialising in the dividends and corporate actions sector. After finishing college, they started working in a contact centre for a life and pensions provider – after always saying they would never work in an office or on the phone, this has been a current theme in their career so far. As Charlotte moved up within the company and onto the next one, their role centred around system migration projects and diving deeper into more technical roles within the industry.

As a Dividends and corporate actions specialist, they are responsible for paying clients these dividends within a regulated timescale. In addition, they’re also merging funds, paying out capital and broadcasting information. Heading up the current team of just themselves, it’s a constant learning curve and opportunity to thrive within this space. At weekends, they are found by a rugby pitch, plane spotting or spending time with their wife and cat! Other interests also involve just learning and absorbing any information they can, on topics that interest them.
